Ahmed Mohammed Bakr Hassan, from Egypt, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning to face one count of rape, and one count of indecent assault.
Police have confirmed that Mr Hassan was the man who was arrested on Monday evening over the alleged attack, which took place between 2 am and 3 am on Monday.
At the time, he was released on police bail but he was rearrested yesterday afternoon ahead of this morning’s court appearance.
The victim is receiving support from specially-trained police and partnership agencies.
