Mr Jordan was charged with one count of grave and criminal assault.
Two other men were arrested but have not been charged, and the police are appealing for information about another man wanted in connection with the assault.

The alleged victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition before being transferred to Southampton Hospital.
His condition was yesterday described as “stable”.
Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke, presiding, determined Mr Jordan’s case to be too serious for the Magistrate’s Court and referred it to the Royal Court.
Mr Jordan will next appear in court on Friday 5 July. He has been remanded in custody in the meantime.
