Although both cars were badly damaged, the emergency services say no one was seriously hurt in the incident, which happened just after 10:20 at the junction of the coast road and La Rue de Maupertuis.
They are now investigating the cause of the smash.
When the Fire Service arrived, they say that none of the three occupants of the cars was trapped, and they focussed on making the vehicles safe, and controlling the fuel and oil which had leaked on to the road surface and into the drains.
