It’s then alleged that a motorist hit them at high speed and then left the scene.
The pair were subsequently taken to Annecy Hospital to be treated for multiple injuries and broken bones, with the woman later transferred to Grenoble.

Both members of staff have since moved to the UK where treatment will continue.
Tim Silvester, Assistant Headteacher at De La Salle, told Express:
“Both members have staff have completed their hospital recovery phase in France following the road traffic incident.
“They were transferred to the UK to be nearer their families.
“They will continue to recover in hospital once they are back in the UK.”
Police arrested a man in his 30s after identifying his vehicle from debris at the scene of the collision.
The man – a resident of Aravis, the local mountain range – later appeared in Court for causing involuntary harm, and was remanded on strict bail conditions.
