The Government made the announcement this afternoon, confirming that parents had been contacted.
They added that the Contact Tracing team will contact the headteachers and parents of students at other sixth form schools who were previously in contact with the student, “if required.”
The statement continued: “The college will remain open following advice from Environmental Public Health.
“To protect the identity of this student and respect the family’s privacy, we will not be commenting further.”
