Fotosound will continue trading from the same location with the same team and products following the acquisition.

The only change will be ‘Voisins’ appearing on customers’ receipts and bank statements.

Gerald Voisin said: “I am delighted to be able to take on the Fotosound success story to continue to provide islanders with an exciting assortment of technology, gaming and photography products, as well as a range of important services instore.”

Fotosound was put up for sale by owner Barry Jenkins at the start of May.

Mr Jenkins told Express that the sale was due to his lease ending – and because he wanted to take a well-deserved break.

“I cannot wait to resign!” he said at the time.

The Fotosound acquisition follows Voisins’ 2018 purchase of former family-run retailer Le Lievres, which now trades as Voisins Home.
