Thick plumes of black smoke were seen over Victoria Avenue and St. Aubin’s Bay.
Nine firefighters were sent down from the service’s town headquarters to deal with the fire, along with a water carrier.

By the time they had arrived, three vehicles – a van and two cars – were “well alight”, with a fourth damaged by the heat.
Victoria Avenue was closed while four firefighters tackled the blaze using breathing equipment, and managed to bring it under control so that others did not catch fire.
The road was open again by 06:30.
In a post on Facebook, they thanked the States of Jersey Police for their help.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown, but the Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed it has now launched a probe.
Police also confirmed to Express that they were investigating and that the blaze was being “treated as suspicious”.
