William Highfield decided to make the festive treat last year to raise money for Age Concern, raising £365 for the charity.

Dressed in his Reindeer onesie, William took on the task again this year to fundraise for the Jersey Centre for Separate Families – a charity for which his mum, Sarah, volunteers.

And it seems many echoed William’s belief that Christmas is a time for giving, as he sold hundreds of the bags of oats, glitter and confetti stars, raising £532.36.

Sarah took to Facebook to thank islanders for their support with the festive fundraising endeavour and wish them a very merry Christmas.

Speaking about little William’s success, she told Express: “We are so proud of him, he worked so hard and even donated his own pocket money on top of making and selling almost 900 bags of reindeer food!”

“Thank you to everyone who helped and supported William by buying or selling it for him, everyone has been so kind to us,” she added.
