The team at Real Property Limited have been instructed by C Le Masurier on the £70 million Bath Street mixed use redevelopment project.

The development will provide the island’s second Premier Inn, 3 new commercial units, 149 apartments and car parking and make a significant contribution to the regeneration of north St Helier.

Simon Buckley, Buckley & Co - Managing Director

Consultancy, Professional and Agency Services

In addition to providing consultancy and professional service in relation to the Premier Inn and the wider scheme, we are now offering the two new retail units which can be leased or acquired by way of a share transfer sale. The regeneration of this part of North St Helier will bring significant improvements to the area and these units offer a great opportunity for existing retailers or aspiring entrepreneurs.

We are proud to be part of this highly important scheme and that we can continue to demonstrate our effective involvement in large-scale mixed-use regeneration developments.”

Leanne Kirkland, Maillard’s Estates – Sales Manager

Residential Sales and Marketing Advice

Maillard’s Estates recently launched the first phase of Merchants Square apartments.   Prospective buyers queued from 4.30am on Saturday 26th September to ensure they secured the apartments that they wanted as the first release of Merchants Square went on sale. 90% of the first release has now been sold, which shows immense confidence in the local market and a strong demand from first time buyers

“We were overwhelmed by the number of people who came to our open weekend and who have bought one of the Merchant Square apartments off plan. With 30% of the initial sales to first time buyers this clearly demonstrates the need for new housing in Jersey.”

Chris Marsh, Voisin Hunter– Associate Director

Property Management

Voisin Hunter Limited are proud to have been appointed to manage this new scheme. We have provided advice in relation to the legal structure and on future management operations of the estate. We have prepared service charge budgets in co-ordination with Maillard’s release of the first residential units for sale.   Voisin Hunter specialises in property management of large-scale residential schemes.

“We are looking forward to completion and occupation of this fantastic development so that we can actively start our management role. We will spend the next 12 months preparing for handover of the first residential units which is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the Premier Inn.”

Gavin Bartlett, MDW – Associate Director

Building Surveys

MDW were involved from the very early stages of the project, undertaking property surveys of neighbouring properties prior to woks commencing on site. In total 32 residential and commercial units were surveyed including the former Odeon Cinema. MDW will return to the project at handover in a quality control capacity working with the main contractor and architects to ensure each unit is finished to the highest standards.

“Large scale projects like this require significant commitment prior to works commencing coupled with a flexible but methodical approach. We completed the pre-commencement surveys ahead of schedule thus allowing the main contractor to start on site in accordance with the development programme”

Maillard’s Estates as sole selling agents are pleased to introduce Merchant’s Square, a brand-new destination centred around a collection of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments
