The Guernsey Pool Association has selected its team to represent the island at the 25th annual C.I. International 8 Ball Pool tournament in Jersey next week.
The GPA, proudly sponsored by Channel Seaways Limited, has chosen Charlton Gauvain, Brad Ogier, Jarod Carrington, Miles Plumley, Tommy Simon, Tony Cracknell, James Le Cras, and James Kirk (all pictured top) to represent the island.
Le Cras will captain the team for the tournament.
Formed in the summer, the GPA Committee acted quickly to assemble this squad for the event which will see them facing teams from Jersey, Portugal, the Isle of Wight, Yeovil and Exmouth.
“This will provide an excellent showcase for some of Guernsey’s finest talent, and is part of renewed efforts to boost development of the sport at all levels in the island,” the committee said.
“The GPA hopes to inspire as much local support as possible for our Guernsey side and promises news of exciting developments in the near future.”
The C.I. International 8 Ball Pool competition will be held from 23 to 26 October at Planet Pool & Snooker in Jersey.
