Both Jonkmans and Le Gallez are raising money for local charities.
The race started on Sunday with a 31.1km stage while yesterday’s covered 40.8km.

Jonkman’s cumulative time for the opening two was 10:35.28 (4:08.27 on day one), while Le Gallez has taken 12:49.16 so far (4:49.53 on day one).
It is the 38th edition of the Marathon des Sables which will cover a total of 252.8km in the Moroccan Sahara desert.
