The Sark Shags host the Ridunians tomorrow in their 22nd annual rugby match.

Before that sporting showpiece, Sark will be revved up with the Harbour Hill Climb this evening, and more lawnmower racing tomorrow morning.

All events are open to the public to view, with Sark Shipping offering special boat fares for those wanting to watch the action.

The lawnmower hill climb starts the sporting weekend off this evening.

Competitors will race up the Harbour Hill from 18:00.

Tomorrow morning, the lawnmower racing will continue from 10:30.

From midday the Sark Shags and the Alderney Ridunians will take centre stage for their annual rugby showdown.

The Sark Shags will be playing at home at the Millennium Field, hosting the Ridunians, in the 22nd annual match between the pair.

The game kicks off at 12:00 on Saturday 23 August.

Visitors and locals are invited to soak up the atmosphere, with hard-fought rugby, great company, and a sunny Bank Holiday weekend on offer, said a spokesperson for Sark.

“After the match, there’ll be a BBQ at The Captains from 13:30. Everyone is more than welcome to stick around and enjoy the relaxed post-match atmosphere.

“It’s one of those weekends that captures what Sark does best- community, spirit, and a bit of chaos. Whether you’re a local, a regular, or just passing through, we’d love to see you there soaking it all in.”
