The Ford Multimatic Mustangs claimed fifth and sixth in GTD Pro after 12 hours of fierce racing at Sebring.

Seb Priaulx and his teammates Mike Rockenfeller and Ben Barker brought the no.64 home in fifth, with the sister no.65 car following.

Priaulx’s former team, AO Racing, claimed the win by nearly five seconds from a pair of Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVOs.

The no.64 finished 16.62s off the lead Porsche.

“Strong teamwork delivered perfect pitstops and clever strategy and the fight was close, all the way to the flag,” the team said.

“Both Mustangs took points and came home unscathed, ready to fight another day. And we’re still leading the championship!”

The no.65 won the opening race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It holds a 17 point lead at this early stage.

GTD Pro returns on 9 to 11 May at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey.
