After the huge success of the inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup in Jersey last year, organisers have confirmed that the next edition of the women’s inter-island football tournament will take place on 26–27 June 2026 at Victoria Park, Guernsey.
The biennial event brings together women’s teams from Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight for two days of high-quality football, community spirit and celebration.
Launched in 2024, the Cherry Godfrey Cup was created to champion women’s sport, inspire the next generation of players, and highlight the power of island communities working together.

Tanzy Cherry, Chief Operating Officer at Cherry Godfrey, reflected on the success of the first tournament and shared her excitement for the next chapter, saying: “We were absolutely blown away by the incredible atmosphere, talent and team spirit at the first Cherry Godfrey Cup in Jersey.”
“Seeing players, supporters and communities from across the islands come together to celebrate women’s football was really special, and we can’t wait to see that same energy and passion again in 2026.”
She added: “This tournament is about so much more than football — it’s about opportunity, pride and creating moments that will inspire future generations.”
“We’re excited to see our islands come together once again and make the 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup bigger and better than ever.”
Hosting duties now fall to Guernsey, where the newly developed Victoria Park will stage the event.
Gary Roberts, Chief Executive of the Guernsey FA, said the competition provides a perfect opportunity to showcase the island’s new football facilities: “We are delighted that the Cherry Godfrey Cup 2026 will be held here at Victoria Park.”
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Guernsey’s new ‘Home of Football’ facility on an inter-island stage and to welcome players, supporters and officials from across the islands. We are proud to be part of a tournament that shines a light on women’s football and strengthens the sporting ties between our communities.”
The 2024 tournament drew hundreds of spectators and received strong backing from local businesses and media outlets, helping to cement its place as a key fixture in the Channel Islands’ sporting calendar.
Organisers are now encouraging fans, businesses and community partners to get behind the 2026 event and help make it another milestone for women’s football across the islands.
Further details on fixtures, tickets, and event information will be released in the coming months. Updates will be shared on the Cherry Godfrey Cup social media channels.
