Jersey teen Filip Nowacki produced a stunning performance at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet, taking gold in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke events.

The Islander, now part of Adam Peaty’s AP Race elite squad, finished the 200m in 2:10.15, ahead of England’s 2022 Commonwealth Games medallist Greg Butler.

In the 100m, Nowacki was just a second off his long-course personal best, narrowly fending off a tight field that included Peaty, who finished fourth.

The 50m final saw Peaty reverse the positions, claiming first with Nowacki fourth.

Nowacki is now focusing on the British Nationals in mid-April, eyeing qualification for the 2026 European Championships.
