Premiership 2

Dragoes de Jersey came from behind to record a stunning 4-3 victory over St Lawrence in one of the games of the season.

The visitors led 2-1 at half-time through goals from Joseph Hogben and Scott Lemouchex, before Celso Dias, and Jose Rodrigues sparked a spirited Dragoes comeback.

Rodrigues struck twice in the closing stages, including a 90th-minute winner, to secure all three points, cancelling out Corbin Adamson’s late equaliser.

Trinity continued their steady run of form with a composed 2-0 win away at Sports Club of Jersey.

After a cagey first half, Gabriel Medeiros broke the deadlock six minutes after the restart before Harry Henderson doubled the lead to seal victory for the visitors, which propels the Grills into fourth place.

Sporting Academics turned on the style at St John First, running out emphatic 9-1 winners in a dominant display.

Jamie Savory hit a hat-trick, with further goals from Diogo Franca, James Walsh, William Harris, Connor Campbell, Philip Quinn and Kyle Devenish completing the rout.

Ethan Boudin netted a first-half consolation for St John, but the Academics’ relentless attack proved far too strong as they maintained their winning record with 15 points from five matches.

A huge top of the table clash is set for the November 22 as Rozel host Sporting Academics.

Championship 2

In Championship 2, St John Reserves continued their strong start with a 4–1 away victory over Grouville C.

Manuel Skowron shot the visitors into the lead inside the first minute which set the precedent for the fixture. Warren Law added two of his own before Skowron completed his brace with ten minutes to go to brush Grouville aside.

Finally, there was no shortage of goals at St Ouen, where the home side’s C team recorded a remarkable 12-4 win over Trinity Reserves, as they kept pace with leaders St Paul’s Reserves.

Shane Carre and Kacper Smilek both struck twice in the opening half as St Ouen took firm command, with Joel Vieira, James Dunn, Jack Happer, Adrian Vieira and Luca Macaione all joining the scoresheet in an extraordinary attacking display.

Trinity found the net through Shayan Menezes and Liam Irwin, who each bagged braces, but the hosts’ firepower proved overwhelming.

Cherry Godfrey Women’s Division

Rozel Rovers Women earned an important three points over Sports Club of Jersey with a 5-2 victory on Sunday morning.

Despite a spirited start from the visitors, going two goals to the good through Vanessa Ramos and Carla Vidinha, Rozel returned the favour with goals from Leah Morris and Emily Davies just before half-time.

A superb second-half display from Ma-Ya Larsson, capped by a well-taken hat-trick, proved decisive for Rozel, who reclaimed their familiar spot at the top of the table.

Elsewhere in the division, St Peter Women claimed their first win of the season against a depleted, nine-player Jersey Wanderers side.

Soraya De Conceicao scored three goals in a 4-1 victory for the Crosskeys as they get off the mark following five consecutive losses.

Eliza Lehmann grabbed the fourth for St Peter whilst Tammie Wheeler scored the consolation for Wanderers.

JFA Cup

The only fixture featuring sides from the island’s top division saw St Paul’s First edge past St Brelade First in a tightly contested JFA Cup encounter.

St Paul’s youthful side triumphed 3–2 away from home, with a Joey O’Toole brace and a Fergus Boyle strike proving enough to see them through. The visitors raced into an early two-goal lead before Paul McKay halved the deficit to keep St Brelade in contention.

As the hosts pressed for an equaliser, St Paul’s struck again on the counter to restore their two-goal cushion. Ryan Le Cornu’s close-range header set up a tense finish, but St Brelade were unable to find a late leveller as St Paul’s booked their place in the next round
