Local family support charity Home-Start is asking the public for donations in advance of them taking over the OSA pop-up shop from the 8 – 13 June.

In order to be well stocked throughout the week the charity is looking for the public to donate anything from bric-a-brac, children’s toys and equipment as well as good condition clothing items for adults and children. These can be dropped to Home-Start’s offices at the Roseville Community Centre, Le Petit Bouet, St Peter Port.

Home-Start is also asking for any willing volunteers who would be happy to come in to the store for a few hours during the week.

Home-Start co-ordinator, Hayley Jenner-Arnold said: “We have lots of fantastic volunteers who do an amazing job for us but if anyone is interested in the charity and could spare a few hours during the week to help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

“We are also really lucky that our patron, Mrs Lynda Walker, will be coming down to the pop-up shop on the Wednesday just after 9.30am to show her support for Home-Start.”

Home-Start was set up six years ago to recruit and train volunteers to support local families with young children in difficult situations by providing both emotional and practical support in their own homes.
