A team of young karate fighters from Jersey recently took home more than 30 medals after competing against individuals from across Europe.

On 4 June, a group of students and their coaches travelled to Malta to take part in the 2022 European Kenpo Karate Championships.

Taking part were competitors from Greece, USA, Italy, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom.

The eight students from Jersey won a total of 31 medals, consisting of five gold, nine silver and 17 bronze.
