The Blonde Hedgehog in Alderney has been honoured with a Michelin Key recognising its “exceptional” hospitality and guest experience.

The hotel becomes the second property in the Channel Islands to receive recognition from the Michelin Guide.

The Key award was launched in 2024 to highlight outstanding hotels which go beyond just accommodating guests.

Tracey Farquhar-Beck & Julie-Anne Uggla, Directors of The Blonde Hedgehog, said they were delighted with the recognition which places the hotel up the ranks in the British Isles.

“This award is a testament to our wonderful team — their care, dedication, and passion are at the heart of everything we do,” they said.

“The Michelin Key celebrates genuine hospitality, and that’s what The Blonde Hedgehog is all about — creating a place where people feel at home while experiencing the very best of Alderney.”

The hotel in the middle of St Anne features stone buildings and cottages alongside a popular restaurant and garden.

The Blonde Hedgehog has also been recognised in the Good Hotel Guide and LUXlife.
