A number of local legal firms and their team members, including Baker & Partners, Ogier and Carey Olsen, have been recognised in the latest Chambers rankings.
Baker & Partners has retained its Band 2 position for Offshore Dispute Resolution (Jersey), and all six partners in Jersey have been recognised – of which three have also received promotions.
Global Managing Partner Stephen Baker has been named an Eminent Practitioner, a distinction reserved for those recognised to be figureheads in their field. He is one of only two Eminent Practitioners in Jersey and in the Channel Islands.

Simon Thomas has moved up from Band 3 to Band 2, Lynne Gregory has moved up from Up and Coming to Band 3, Amy Benest was ranked for the first time as Up and Coming, William Redgrave maintained his Band 1 ranking, and Jared Dann maintained Band 3.
Stephen Baker, Global Managing Partner, Baker & Partners, said: “To have all six of our Jersey partners recognised is a testament to the strength of our team across the full spectrum of offshore commercial and trust litigation, fraud, asset recovery, regulatory and criminal law.
“I’m particularly pleased to welcome Amy Benest to the rankings, and to congratulate Simon and Lynne on their well-deserved promotions. My recognition as an Eminent Practitioner speaks to the real strength here, which is the collective expertise and dedication across our entire practice.”
Elsewhere, Ogier’s has been ranked in 11 practice areas across its Channel Islands and London offices – including eight top-tier rankings – with 47 individual lawyers named as leaders in their field.
Ogier in Jersey is ranked top tier across the board: Corporate and Finance, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Investment Funds, Property and Trusts. The Guernsey team is recognised for Corporate and Finance, including Investment Funds, as well as Property, Dispute Resolution and Trusts.
Clients shared feedback that Ogier is the “market leader in commercial awareness”.
“We are immensely proud of our continued recognition in Chambers,” said Ogier’s Jersey practice partner Raulin Amy. “Congratulations to our talented teams, whose recognition is deserved for their commitment to their clients and thank you to our clients for their wonderful feedback that demonstrates how highly our lawyers are valued by those we serve.”
Carey Olsen has earned its third “clean sweep” of Band 1 industry rankings this year, with all 12 of its practice groups in the Channel Islands receiving the top ranking.
The firm’s Jersey, Guernsey and London lawyers achieved 57 individual rankings, including 19 individual Band 1 rankings.

Seven individuals have seen their rankings improve, including Band 1’s for partner Will Whitehead (Property, Jersey) and counsel Carly Parrott (Employment, Guernsey). Five Carey Olsen lawyers have also been ranked for the first time.
“We are delighted to have achieved a complete set of Band 1 rankings in each of this year’s Legal 500, IFLR and Chambers UK guides for our Guernsey and Jersey offices,” said Group managing partner Simon Marks. “This is a remarkable achievement and one that we are very proud of.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their continued support and feedback, and our legal teams and support staff for creating the outstanding firm that we are today.”
Walkers also announced that its results in the Chambers UK 2026 guide saw 16 promotions across both practice areas and individual lawyers.
The firm had ten practice areas and 36 lawyers recognised in its Jersey, Guernsey and London offices.
Walkers’ Jersey Corporate and Finance, Investment Funds and Trusts have been promoted in their rankings; Guernsey Dispute Resolution has been promoted to Band 1; and its Employment team in Jersey has been newly ranked.
Jack Boldarin, Walkers’ London managing partner, was also recognised as an Eminent Practitioner for the first time, making him the only lawyer ranked in this category for both Cayman and BVI law.
“This year’s Chambers results are a landmark for Walkers. Achieving a record 16 promotions speaks volumes about the calibre of our people and the strength of our offering,” said Mr Boldarin.
“I’m delighted to see so many colleagues recognised for their impact and expertise and grateful to our clients for their continued trust and support.”
