Aurigny and British Airways have announced an expanded partnership that the airlines say will “significantly improve global travel options for customers flying to and from Guernsey”.

The new “enhanced” agreement includes additional connections via London City Airport, in addition to those previously available through London Gatwick.

This means more than 100 worldwide destinations are all bookable on a single ticket, with various benefits including through-checked luggage and Air Passenger Duty savings.

It’s the first time travellers can connect between Aurigny and British Airways at London City Airport, where the airline currently serves more than 25 European destinations, including some exciting new routes such as Olbia.

Sudeep Ghai, Chief Commercial Officer at Aurigny, said the key benefits of the enhanced partnership include passengers having one ticket for global itineraries, through-checked baggage, greater travel protection in the event of delays or missed connections, and cost savings.

“We’re proud to strengthen our partnership with British Airways,” he said.

“This expansion offers islanders more choice and better global connectivity, and it makes Guernsey even more accessible for international visitors, supporting our vital hospitality sector.”
