The Guernsey branch of a financial services business has recruited a new Director and Executive Director – bringing more than 50 years of experience to the business.

Sharon Rogers has been appointed as Executive Director in the private wealth and family office of Equiom.

She has more than 30 years of experience in international finance and private wealth, working across international structuring, succession planning and strategic leadership.

She has joined Equiom Guernsey’s board to sharpen its strategic direction and continue its growth on the island.

She said: “Equiom has a strong opportunity to build on the depth of expertise already within the Guernsey team and across the wider group.

“Clients and their advisers are increasingly looking for providers that combine technical capability with agility, strong governance and a genuinely personal approach.

“I am looking forward to working with colleagues across the business to strengthen those relationships and deliver solutions that support clients’ long-term objectives.”

Joining as a Director in the corporate services part of the business is Allister Carey.

Mr Carey has worked in Guernsey’s trust and company sector for 20 years and will lead strategic growth and performance.

He will also be responsible for the business’ employee retirement and rewards offering, and will deliver these services to Equiom’s clients, develop the team and ensure operational excellence.

Marie McNeela, Managing Director for Guernsey and Head of Channel Islands at Equiom, said: “Sharon and Allister bring an exceptional breadth of technical, leadership and client experience to our Guernsey team.

“Their appointments reflect our continued investment in Guernsey and our commitment to building on the business’s heritage, established client relationships and deep local expertise.

“Guernsey continues to play an important role in Equiom’s international network, and we are well positioned to support clients and advisers seeking experienced, relationship-led support across increasingly complex private wealth and corporate requirements.”
