The Channel Islands Co-operative Society is holding an interim business update and Special Members’ Meeting in both Guernsey and Jersey this month.

The first will be held in Jersey on 16 September, with the Guernsey meeting a day later.

The meetings will cover trading performance, updates on the introduction of the new Co-op Mobile service, and other initiatives.

Members will also be asked to vote on the introduction of two new share classes, Class C and D, for 12 and 24-month investments, as well as a change to how interest is paid on Class B shares.

Mark Cox, Chief Executive of the Co-op, said: “Our Members are the lifeblood of our business, and their views help shape its future. These meetings give Members a chance to hear about our progress, ask questions, and vote on important changes.

“The new share classes respond to what members have told them they want – more choice and better investment terms.”

Mr Cox continued: “Our Coop is evolving as we stay relevant for our Members, our customers and our communities. We’re investing in technology, improving products and services, and finding new ways to reward loyalty while supporting growth for the future.”

Both meetings start at 18:30, with registration from 18:00.
