CBO Projects’ Principal Consultant has been shortlisted in the IIBA UK Business Analyst of the Year Award 2025.

Sponsored by AssistKD, the award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to business analysis practice.

CBO’s David Palzeaird is one of eight finalists, with the winner due to be announced later this month.

“It’s a real honour to be shortlisted alongside such talented business analysts and to represent CBO and the Channel Islands within the Business Analysis industry,” said Mr Palzeaird.

“My purpose over the past year has been to champion Business Analysis in the Channel Islands, to cultivate the best possible working environment for the Business Analysts I work with at CBO, and to deliver excellent Business Analysis for clients. It is great to have this recognised by being shortlisted.”

CBO said Mr Palzeaird has been instrumental in the building of its business analysis practice across the Channel Islands.

He is a founding member of the ‘Channel Island Business Analysts’, a local community designed to grow the understanding of Business Analysis across the islands.

“This nomination celebrates David’s Business Analysis expertise, high-quality work, and desire to build a true understanding of Business Analysis across the Channel Islands,” said Ed Mason-Smith, Director of Business Analysis for CBO Projects.

“What sets David apart is that he brings our team, clients and community along the Business Analysis journey; he is a true ambassador for the profession. I am proud to work with such a talented and genuine individual, and the whole team at CBO could not be more pleased that David has been shortlisted for BA of the Year.”
