The money-saving platform DealZap is now open for all Guernsey residents after a successful first week.
Rather than adapting an existing platform, DealZap has been designed from the ground up around the needs of Guernsey residents and local businesses.
The ambition is to help locals save money and businesses to thrive, while showing that Guernsey can be a place where new digital businesses take root.
Founder Kris Kukula-Carre said: “Through conversations with friends and family, I kept hearing the same thing: due to the rising cost of living, people are going out and enjoying life less, whether that’s going out for a meal, grabbing a coffee, or enjoying a night out with friends.
“At the same time, I could see local businesses feeling the same squeeze due to rising operating costs, so it really felt like the perfect storm.
“DealZap gives islanders a reason to spend locally while allowing them to enjoy life more, while giving local businesses a flexible and interactive way of reaching more customers.”
DealZap brings together deals and monthly perks from local cafes, bars & pubs, restaurants, beauty salons, shops and more into a single online platform, with vouchers saved and redeemed straight from subscribers’ phones.
