EY recently held its annual celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
Staff from both Guernsey and Jersey participated in the celebrations, which included consuming traditional Indian food, henna art, and decorations reflecting the spirit of Diwali.
The event in Guernsey raised money for Safer, a local organisation that supports those affected by domestic abuse.
Daniel Luwun, EY Assurance Partner and DEI Champion, said: “At EY, we believe that diversity and belonging are fundamental to building a better working world. Celebrations like Diwali allow us to honour the rich cultural heritage within our teams and create an environment where everyone feels respected and included.
“As a local employer, EY is proud to champion inclusion and belonging, ensuring that our workplace reflects the diverse communities we serve. Thank you to all our colleagues who made this event possible and to everyone who joined in the celebrations.”

Kanchan Khantwal, an Assurance Senior and Guernsey event organiser, added: “It was wonderful to see colleagues from all backgrounds come together to celebrate Diwali. Events like this help build a true feeling of belonging across the firm.”
