Fund administration company Vistra has appointed its first Chief AI & Digital Officer to strengthen its capabilities.
Damian Leach has over 20 years’ experience, with 13 in global banking technology roles, and was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a Fortune 500 company.
lMost-recently, Mr Leach was Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) at container leasing company Seaco, which later merged with Textainer to become the sector’s largest firm globally.
Mr Leach said he was “very excited” to join the firm “at a time when there is a clear opportunity to use modern digital technologies, automation and AI-infused services” to help clients.
‘Single pain of glass’
CEO Kim Jenkins said: “Clients today want confidence, clarity and trusted expertise as they navigate an increasingly complex global environment.
Mr Leach’s appointment marked “the next major step” in the company’s strategy to create a “global digital platform” with a “single pain of glass”, she added.
Mr Leach is “proudly Singaporean” and will be based in Singapore, Vistra’s global headquarters.
