Offshore Trust and Corporate Services provider, Fort has bought Cogent, a well-established firm in the same sector.
Described as a “strategic move”, Fort said the purchase reflects its “commitment to thoughtful, sustainable growth and enhances its capabilities to serve a global client base with continuity, expertise, and integrity”.

Fort says buying Cogent will allow it to achieve it’s long-term succession planning strategy.
“The integration will deliver expanded service offerings and to new jurisdictions, deeper technical expertise, and increased scale, all while maintaining the director led personalised approach clients of both businesses have come to expect.”

The purchase has received all necessary regulatory approvals and is effective immediately.
