Guernsey FC’s crucial 0-2 away victory over Binfield has gifted them a potential lifeline in their fight against relegation.
The goals came from Brandon Wallace and an own goal from Binfield.
The fact Guernsey kept a clean sheet could also prove crucial for their goal difference and chance of survival ahead of their final league game tomorrow.
Last night’s win also happened to be Guernsey’s 200th league victory adding extra poignancy to it.

Guernsey FC next play tomorrow afternoon when they face Harrow Borough.
The Green Lions fate is not entirely in their own hands though, as they will also need the Metropolitan Police to drop points in their game against the already-relegated Sutton Common Rovers.
If the Met Police win their game Guernsey will be relegated, regardless of their own result against Harrow.
If the Police lose their game, a win for Guernsey against Harrow Borough would be enough for Guernsey to stay in the league and Metropolitan Police would be relegated instead.
However, if the Met Police draw their game, Guernsey will need to win against Harrow with a goal difference of 10 goals or more to confirm their chance of survival.
Harrow Borough sit 13th in the league table, safe from the threat of relegation, but far from the promise of promotion, or the playoffs.
They’ve picked up just 2 points this month, in draws against Raynes Park Vale and the Metropolitan Police, whilst slumping to losses from Hayes and Yeading United and South Park Reigate.
A 10 goal demolition job seems unlikely though, so Guernsey will have to focus on seeing off their competition, and keep their fingers crossed that the already relegated Sutton Common Rovers take the Met Police with them.
Both games kick off at 15:00 on Saturday 26 April.
