The Manx Courier reported last week that Mr Plenderleith had left the company with immediate effect and that his successor had already been appointed.
The circumstances of his departure are unknown but his personal LinkedIn account suggests he is looking for other roles, potentially within one of the Crown Dependencies.

The Courier also reported that Manx Gas is to be given notice at the end of this month to end a controversial regulatory deal it has with the island’s government.
In Jersey, Mr Plenderleith was involved in a lockdown dispute over the price of gas after Jersey Gas said it would put prices up when Jersey’s States refused to include utilities in the island’s Covid-19 co-funded payroll scheme.
