A Guernsey lawyer has been promoted to senior associate at Carey Olsen.

Sarah Orton works in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Litigation team in Guernsey, advising local and international clients on a wide range of matters including corporate and company law disputes, restructuring and insolvency, trust disputes and commercial litigation.

She also advises on intellectual property matters and is registered with the Guernsey Intellectual Property Office as a Trade Mark, Patent and Design Rights Intellectual Property agent.

Her promotion to senior associate, which came into effect yesterday, comes at the same time as that of Jersey-based Nic Le Breuilly.

Mr Le Brueilly is part of Carey Olsen’s Corporate team in Jersey, where he advises on a range of debt finance transactions, including real estate, acquisition and fund finance.

He qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2019 and was called to the Jersey Bar as an advocate in December 2023.
