Simon Young is set to become the new Imperium Group Chairman, taking over from Roy McGregor.

Mr McGregor is leaving the company after guiding Imperium from a small business to a fast-growing group with over £13 billion in assets under administration.

David Gilmour, the Chief Executive Officer of Imperium Group, paid tribute to their outgoing Chairman.

“Roy’s contribution to Imperium has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has been a guiding force through every stage of our journey, offering wisdom, integrity, and perspective. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and his enduring legacy within the Group.”

Imperium says that Mr Young was instrumental in the success of Imperium’s Jersey operations, which he launched and expanded.

He has stepped down as Managing Director of the Jersey office, with Jennie Ekedahl having been appointed as his successor last month.

Mr Gilmour also commented on the new incoming chairman.

“Simon’s appointment as Chairman is a natural and highly strategic evolution for us. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in Jersey and has been instrumental in shaping our wider Group culture and client approach.

“I look forward to working closely with him as we pursue our long-term goals across all jurisdictions.”
