Liberation Group CEO Jonathan Lawson said it was a difficult decision, but one that had been made first and foremost to protect the wellbeing of teams and customers.
“We have made this important decision in order to safeguard the safety of both our colleagues and our customers,” he said.
“Our team members are the lifeblood of our business and the responsible thing to do is to make sure we put them at the forefront of all of our thoughts. Also, we have to make sure that we are listening to the latest advice and supporting the States of Guernsey and Jersey in reducing the spread of Coronavirus.
“Our hope is to re-open the sites as soon as possible so we’ll be keeping a very close eye on developments and the advice from the States when it’s given. We would like to thank all our colleagues and customers during this difficult time”.
Along with managed pubs and bars, Mr Lawson said the Liberation Group is also working with and supporting their tenanted and free trade customers in this difficult period.
