Investec has made a number of appointments, saying the move reflects “the bank’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its clients and delivering a consistent high-touch level of personalised service”.
Ashley Dye has been appointed to lead the Guernsey Financial Intermediary Team at Investec. The company says Mr Dye’s appointment reflects Investec’s commitment to growing its client base and providing tailored banking solutions.
Meanwhile, Emily Dawson was appointed Head of Private Banking across the Crown Dependencies. Based in Guernsey, Ms Dawson brings 20 years of local financial services experience to the role.
There were other Crown Dependency appointments, with Ryan Lambotte appointed to lead the Jersey Financial Intermediary Team.

“I am looking forward to building on the excellent relationships we have with financial intermediaries across the offshore jurisdictions in which we operate,” said Mr Dye. Our commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of our clients, combined with the expertise and resources of the wider Investec global network, means that we can become strategic partners to our clients, delivering the full range of the Bank’s capabilities.
“I would like to thank Mark Renouf, who held this role at Investec Bank Channel Islands until his retirement in 2024, for his support and guidance in driving forward our client relationships.”

Ms Dawson said she is “honoured to be leading our Private Banking team as Investec builds on the solid foundations created over 25 years in the Crown Dependencies, bringing the best of Investec to our clients.
“Our ethos is to create meaningful and long-lasting relationships, supporting our clients whether they are building a business, growing their family wealth, or creating a legacy.
“Everything we do is focused on our clients’ aspirations and finding the right solutions for their needs at every stage of their financial journey.”

In Jersey, Mr Lambotte, added: “I am excited to join the team at Investec and work for such a client-centric organisation. My focus is to build on the strong foundations established over the last 15 years and consistently deliver for our clients, both new and existing.”
Both Mr Dye and Mr Lambotte will report to Andy Smith, the Head of Financial Intermediaries for the Channel Islands.
“Ashley and Ryan bring substantial experience to their roles, and their appointments will further strengthen our teams across each island,” said Mr Smith.
“This will allow us to continue to grow our client franchise across both jurisdictions and build on the sector expertise that Investec is known for. I am confident that they will leverage their extensive experience and knowledge to lead this vital area of our business, which is a key focus of our strategy for the Crown Dependencies.”

Ms Dawson will be reporting to Jane Niles, the Chief Executive Officer in the Channel Islands.
“Emily’s appointment is central to our core strategy, which is to concentrate on two client segments in the Channel Islands – Financial Intermediaries and Private Banking,” she said.
“We aim to leverage our unique position within the Investec Group for the benefit of our clients across three offshore global finance centres.
“Emily’s skills and experience are invaluable to leading the Private Banking team in the Crown Dependencies and delivering the quality of service our clients expect from Investec.”
