KPMG has announced the promotion of a new Director who will be “an invaluable asset” to the tax team.

Matt Thomas, who is based in Guernsey, started at KPMG as a trainee more than ten years ago.

He has since focused on domestic and international corporate tax matters, and on private equity and venture capital structures in particular.

Mr Thomas’ promotion show’s KPMG’s “ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and recognising outstanding performance within the organisation”, the company said.

Head of Tax Paul Eastwood said the firm was “thrilled” to promote Mr Thomas to Director at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies.

He added: “His deep understanding of our clients’ needs and his innovative approach to problem-solving make him an invaluable asset to our team.

“We look forward to his continued contributions in this new role.”
