Ocorian has appointed Paul Smith as Client Director within its Private Client team in Guernsey, describing him as “an expert with nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry”.
His tenure has taken him from Guernsey to the UK and the Cayman Islands, and Ocorian says he brings “significant expertise in fiduciary investment oversight and the management of complex trust structures”, and a “strong understanding of private client needs across multiple jurisdictions”.
In his new role, Mr Smith will focus on enhancing Ocorian’s private client proposition in Guernsey – strengthening relationships with clients and advisers, driving service excellence, and contributing to the firm’s continued growth across its core private client business.
Andy Bailey, Managing Director at Ocorian in Guernsey, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to Ocorian. His extensive experience in fiduciary investment management and private client services will play a pivotal role in elevating our sophisticated service offering in Guernsey.
Mr Bailey continued: “Paul’s insight and leadership will help us deepen client relationships, drive innovation, and further strengthen our position as a trusted provider of tailored private client solutions.”
Paul Smith added: “I’m excited to be joining Ocorian at such a pivotal time for the private client sector. The firm’s focus on excellence and innovation aligns closely with my own values, and I look forward to working with the team to support our clients and grow the business further.”
