Close Finance CI has welcomed a new Managing Director.
The lender has appointed Simon Winslow to lead the business, after more than a decade in senior leadership positions with Close Brothers.
The firm says he brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong track record in building customer-focused teams.
Mr Winslow has spent the last 13 years in the UK working within Close Brothers Motor Finance, most recently as Operations Director, where he developed “innovative funding solutions for a wide range of customers”.
The firm said he has a focus on making finance approachable, and he is keen to ensure that Close Finance remains a “trusted partner in both Guernsey and Jersey, offering solutions that go beyond the standard ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach”.
Mr Winslow says he sees a big opportunity in supporting the islands’ economies by backing local enterprises and providing funding that helps them grow.
“Whether it’s helping a business expand or supporting a local hospitality venture, we want to be known as the people you can talk to – and trust – about finance,” he said.
He added he was excited about starting a “new phase in his career” in the Channel Islands.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to step into this role,” said Mr Winslow.
“Close Finance has been part of island life for over 50 years, and it’s built on trust, relationships and an understanding of local needs.
“My goal is to build on that legacy – continuing to deliver flexible, tailored finance options that genuinely help individuals and businesses achieve their goals.”
