Blue Parameters has had a leadership reshuffle.

Nick Burton from Guernsey has been appointed as its new Managing Director.

Two new senior roles have also been created, with James Scott-Anderson becoming Technical Director and Simon de la Rue appointed to Commercial Director.

The firm says the changes will help to drive sustainability and innovation in the waters of the Channel Islands and beyond.

Mr Burton said his international experience but personal connection to the islands would help to safeguard nature.

“I’m incredibly proud to start this role with Blue Parameters in the Channel Islands,”he said.

“Our waters are some of the most ecologically important and economically valuable in the British Isles. From seabed protection to renewable energy, we have a real opportunity to be a model for sustainable marine development — and Blue Parameters is here to support that journey.”

The new leadership team is looking to consult with governments, assess marine activity on habitats, enhance water quality in harbours and explore renewable energy projects.
