Oak’s parent company Opera Group Limited has officially achieved ISO 27001 certification.

This certification, awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI), marks a significant milestone in the firm’s commitment to safeguarding information assets and ensures that Oak operates on a platform that meets the highest international standards for information security, compliance and governance, it said.

ISO 27001 is a world leading standard for information security management. The certification validates that Oak’s operations sit on a platform backed by rigorous policies, strong risk management and global best practices, said Keshav Ramrecha, the Group Head of Information Security.

“Achieving this certification demonstrates how our platform meets the highest global standard for information security, compliance and governance. This certification reflects months of rigorous work reflecting our commitment to information security”.

For Oak’s clients and partners, this means:

  • Confidence that Oak operates on a certified and secure platform.
  • Assurance that sensitive data is managed with the highest standards of care.
  • Reduced risk exposure and strengthened trust in the services Oak delivers.

Reflecting on the achievement, John Doublard, Group Chief Technology Officer, said he was also delighted.

“Achieving ISO 27001 certification was a key deliverable within our Technology strategy.  This accomplishment is a clear reflection of our commitment to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of client, employee and third-party data. It demonstrates that we meet the highest international standards and that we are continually focused on evolving our systems, processes and culture to stay ahead of security risks”.
