RBS International has appointed Emily Guard as its new Market Lead for Guernsey, after more than 31 years with NatWest Group.
She will represent RBS International and NatWest International in the local market, building relationships with customers, businesses, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
Emily has worked across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, London and Luxembourg during her career, spanning frontline banking, business management, finance, commercial leadership and customer-facing roles.
She said: “I am delighted to be taking on this role and focusing my efforts on Guernsey after roles supporting customers across our international business.
“I’m looking forward to spending time listening to customers, businesses, colleagues and community partners to ensure we continue to respond to the needs of the island and support their growth ambitions.”
Her priorities will include supporting local businesses with access to expertise and funding, working with partners such as the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, and supporting the 2027 #GrowMySME Breakfast Series.
She will also look to expand NatWest’s financial education programmes in schools and for adults, raise awareness of fraud and scams, and strengthen the bank’s support for local charities.
Richard Steel, Managing Director of International Retail, Commercial and Private Banking at RBS International, said Emily brought “a wealth of experience, strong customer focus and a deep understanding of the local market”.
He added that her appointment reflected the bank’s ongoing commitment to Guernsey and its ambition to support sustainable growth.
The announcement follows RBS International’s appointment of Ian Perry as its new Jersey Market Lead. He will relocate to Jersey next month after more than 38 years with NatWest Group.
