The Guernsey Biological Record Centre will relaunch later this year and is seeking a Data Administrator to drive forward its work cataloging the Bailiwick’s wildlife.

The successful candidate will lead on collecting and analysing biological data to assist in making informed decisions about local conservation and biodiversity.

The job opening comes after Henry Lawrence, who joined the Centre as a Data Analyst in April and helped introduce a new system in line Jersey, Alderney and Sark, prepares to undertake a doctorate.

The centre is seeking someone who has experience managing ecological data, qualifications in computer science, maths or information management, is experienced with statistical analysis including coding languages, and is enthusiastic about improving data locally.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 21 September.
