Mr Aron, who qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2010, joins Carey Olsen from a top-tier UK law firm, while Mr Balmer, who was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 2016, joins from a well-regarded national firm.
He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2013 and practised at the English Bar. He has also practised in the Cayman Islands.
Mr Aron has significant experience in advising international and local clients on a wide range of contentious matters, specialising in complex and high-value commercial, funds and trust disputes. He is recognised in Legal 500 for his contentious work in the UK and is described as “up-and-coming” and “very bright with a great work ethic”.
Mr Balmer has experience in an extensive range of commercial disputes, appearing in Scotland’s Sheriff and Sheriff Appeal Courts.
