Law firm Appleby is advising Corient in its acquisition of Stonehage Fleming as part of the wealth management company’s global expansion.
Corient has announced the acquisition of Stonehage Fleming, one of the world’s leading independently owned multi-family offices, and Stanhope Capital, one of Europe’s largest independent wealth management and advisory firms.
The acquisitions are expected to close in the first half of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals.
Lead counsel Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and local counsel Appleby are advising in the acquisition of Stonehage Fleming.
The Appleby team is being led by partners Tristan Ozanne, James Gaudin, Paul Worsnop, Garry Manley and Malcolm Moller across the Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and Mauritius offices.
They are being assisted by counsels Michelle Brook and Muhammad Koomar with associates Josh Tonks, Larissa Dezyk, Ruby Agate and Suhaylah Juman.
