Local law firm Appleby has welcomed a new partner to its Property team.
Jeff O’Boyle specialises in complex property development, acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, property finance and energy.
Mr O’Boyle was a partner and head of property at another Jersey firm, having previously spent 12 years with Pinsent Masons in the UK.
He qualified as a Jersey advocate in 2021 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2005.
Having advised property developers, lenders, social housing providers, institutions, funds and governments on some of the most complex and high-value transactions in Jersey, Mr O’Boyle joins Partner John Bisson, who has clocked up more than 50 years of experience advising Appleby clients across commercial and residential matters.
Mr O’Boyle said: “I feel honoured to join such a well-established and highly regarded team – and am especially thrilled to be working closely with the legendary Mr Bisson.
“Appleby’s commitment to excellence, integrity and service aligns closely with my own professional values. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the practice and delivering exceptional results for our clients.”
James Gaudin, Managing Partner at Appleby Jersey, said: “Jeff’s appointment is a fantastic boost to Appleby’s Property team. His knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to client care make him an excellent addition.
“His appointment reflects our continued investment in people and ambition to expand our property offering, and further enhances our depth of experience.”
