A team at Jersey law firm Bedell Cristin has been involved in a major deal involving a portfolio of iconic hospitality brands.

The team advised a founding minority shareholder and management on the Jersey elements of the £1.4 billion sale of their equity interests in the Ivy Collection.

The portfolio comprises a number of well-known brands including The Ivy, Annabel’s and Scott’s.

Guy Westmacott, Bedell Cristin’s Jersey corporate head, said: “This was a complex, cross-border matter and we are pleased to have been part of the multi-jurisdiction team that brought the transaction to a successful conclusion.”

Bedell Cristin’s team worked with onshore counsel Mills Oakley, BCLP and Paul Weiss in Sydney and London on the deal, which saw the equity interests sold to an entity controlled by DIAFA, an affiliate of Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company.
