Ms Harris has worked as a project manager for Digital Jersey for the last five months, coordinating the launch of the coding programme, a six-month vocational course targeted at meeting the needs of the digital sector.

“Having worked on several projects now with Digital Jersey, I am delighted to be joining in a permanent role. It is exciting to be a part of an industry that is innovative, collaborative and evolving rapidly. I feel strongly that Digital Jersey is fulfilling an increasingly important role in Jersey,” she said.

Ms Harris’ previous roles include communications manager for Jersey Finance and project manager for Economic Development, where she was responsible for education, skills and training initiatives in Jersey including the launch of the Jersey Undergraduate Internship programme and the Jersey Enterprise Awards.

The Chairman of Digital Jersey, Paul Masterton, said: “I am delighted that Carla will be joining our team. Her expertise and experience will strengthen Digital Jersey’s resource and increase our ability to support growth in the sector. Carla’s work in developing our Coding Programme has already demonstrated what she can bring to the team and I’m confident she will make a major contribution.”
