EY has announced promotions across multiple service lines in its Channel Islands offices.
In the Assurance team, Tom Harris has been promoted to Director, while Dania Azraq, Devin Werner and Shahul Hameed have all been promoted to Senior Manager.
Chris Manley has also been promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax team.
Mr Harris provides assurance services to listed and unlisted fund clients, as well as private banks, wealth managers and captive insurers. The firm said his “strategic approach and deep understanding of client needs” had been “instrumental” in securing the new clients and ensuring their successful transition to EY’s services.
It added that Mr Harris was also passionate about coaching and mentoring junior team members with their learning and development.
Ms Azraq joined EY’s Guernsey office in 2023, having previously worked for EY in Malaysia and Syria. She has a “wealth of experience” in private equity and wealth and asset management and has worked on multi-jurisdictional clients. EY says she is passionate about maintaining and strengthening client relationships and ensuring EY’s clients receive the highest quality service.
Mr Werner is a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). His “extensive expertise” in cross-jurisdictional audits, leading assurance engagements for regulated entities in the Channel Islands and overseeing listed audits on international exchanges enables him to deliver high-quality, tailored assurance services, the firm says.

Mr Hameed has over a decade of experience providing support to clients within the banking, financial services and real estate sectors across multiple jurisdictions, including Asia and the Middle East.
The firm said he is also “passionate about supporting charitable programmes”, including the World Bank Group analyst programme, where he was shortlisted and invited to the World Bank Group in Washington DC to present his research on allocating resources to alleviate poverty.
Mr Manley has more than 15 years of tax experience and is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).
He advises individuals and trustees on both Jersey and UK taxes and supports clients with planning the remittance of income and stockpiled gains for UK resident beneficiaries and settlors. EY says he has “spearheaded” EY’s CI private client and trust service offering across the Channel Islands.
Further promotions have seen Gunashekaran Kumaravel, Irene Obeng-Agyemang, Kaleem Kabir and Roland Agyei promoted to Assurance Manager, while Crystle Obeng has been promoted to Tax Manager and Gerald Oscillada to Manager in the Technology Risk team.
“As a firm, we place great importance on supporting our people and providing them with opportunities to grow and advance in their careers,” said Dan Saunders, EY’s Managing Partner in the Channel Islands.
“These promotions are a testament to the hard work and dedication these individuals have shown towards their personal development and to delivering exceptional client service.”
