The company is partnering with German airline Germania, which will provide one of their 150-seat A319 jet aircraft, travelling from Jersey to the Canary Islands in approximately four hours.

In addition to the fights, a number of hotels and apartments in resorts including Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje on the South West coast are also on offer.

This year, FlyDirect will continue to support local charity the Donna Annand Melonoma Charity in the prevention of skin cancer by informing their passengers and providing UV detecting wristbands in their children’s packs. In 2017, the company raised £680 for the charity.

Robert Mackenzie, Managing Director of C.I. Travel Group, said: “We are excited to begin another year of direct holidays from the Channel Islands to Tenerife, and particularly to be working with the well reputed and respected airline Germania. Demand for our previous winter sun flights has exceeded expectations, with over 3,200 Islanders already experiencing stress-free travel to the Canaries as the demand for direct travel continues. In 2018 we have capacity to carry a further 1,500 passengers across 10 departures.”
