Direct flights from Jersey to Tenerife will continue to take off this coming winter – and will now operate at the weekend.

FlyDirect hopes that “even more islanders will be able to take advantage of the service” now that flights are operating on Saturdays.

There will be 14 flights in total from Jersey, running every Saturday:

  • From autumn half-term until 8 November;
  • Christmas and New Year;
  • And, from winter half-term until Easter.

FlyDirect’s parent company C. I. Travel Group has been operating direct flights to the Canary Islands for 10 years, and expects strong demand for next winter’s programme.

The company’s managing director, Robert Mackenzie, said: “In 2025 we are celebrating a decade of operating direct flights from Jersey to the Canary Islands, with over 12,500 islanders having experienced the joy of flying direct for a winter sun holiday.

“With flights operating on Saturdays this winter, we hope even more Islanders will be able to take advantage of the service.”

Ports of Jersey’s Chief Operating Officer, Stephen King, said he was “excited” by the announcement.

He said: “I am sure that islanders will value this expanded service, as it provides additional opportunities for holidays in Tenerife without the need for a connecting flight.”

FlyDirect offers both flight-only tickets and holiday packages, with accommodation available in popular Tenerife resorts such as Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, and Costa Adeje.

Stays of seven or 14 nights are available, with some options for extended stays on selected dates.

The flights will be operated by Smartwings using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a flight time of around four hours.
