Professional services practice Grant Thornton has announced a series of senior promotions across its Channel Islands offices.
Henry Armelin has been promoted to tax director, Lucinda Overbury and James Tinnelly have both been promoted to tax associate director, and Danielle Almond steps into the role of audit associate director.
Mr Armelin brings extensive Jersey and UK tax expertise, according to the firm.
He is passionate about Jersey taxation and has experience advising individuals on their Jersey income tax obligations and resolving Jersey income tax disputes.
Ms Overbury specialises in Jersey corporate tax compliance and advisory services. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience and has deep knowledge of the tax implications for local investment and regulated companies.
Grant Thornton said that Ms Overbury has been “instrumental” in guiding clients through significant regulatory changes, including the Economic Substance Law and updates to Jersey corporate filing requirements.
Mr Tinnelly has over 15 years’ experience advising individuals and businesses on Jersey and UK tax matters.
He specialises in high-net-worth and global mobility advisory clients, including inward and outward migration, personal and corporate tax, social security, GST and remuneration planning.

Ms Almond is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years’ experience delivering audit services across both financial services and non-financial services sectors.
She has led audits reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS and currently manages a diverse portfolio, with particular expertise in fund structures and fiduciary businesses.
